FLIES IN PLACES WHERE NO OTHER DRONE HAS GONE BEFORE
The dronut X1, the world’s first bi-rotor drone and the smallest in its class, is currently available for purchase from cleo robotics. The propellers are built into the body of the donut-shaped drone, making it a compact design. It can securely bounce off around people, in tight spaces, and near sensitive equipment thanks to its compact profile that fits in the palm of your hand. Aside from the fact that it cannot harm spectators, its tough shell — which weighs over 425 grammes — will not be destroyed if it collides with barriers or walls.
THE DRONUT X1 IS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC NAVIGATION TECHNOLOGIES.
In addition to safety and crash tolerance, the Boston-based firm prioritised sensing and intelligence. The dronut X1 is equipped with a suite of cutting-edge sensors, including a high-resolution 4K camera, 3D LIDAR, global shutter camera for exact location, LED headlights for navigation in low-light or darkness, and an advanced processing platform, all powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon.
Dronut costs $9,800 for government and commercial use, and it can fly in GPS-denied situations, difficult-to-reach areas, and dangerous environments, as mentioned. With practically no training, the device may also be controlled remotely via a smartphone-connected joystick controller.
